Why Your Feng Shui Consultation Didn't Work

You spent a lot of money on a feng shui consultation, and did a few things, but never quite did it all, and now you complain that it didn't work. It didn't work because you had blocks to change and never completed all of the 'cures'.
On one level we want change, and a feng shui consultation sounds fun and shows you are intent on changing, but when you have it done and aspects of your life start to change...something inside says, "Hey! This might actually work!"...and you get cold feet and don't finish the suggestions. There's a part of you that really wants to change, but another that is wedded to the status quo.
Your home is you and you are your home. It reflects you. Is it cluttered or spotless? Is it a small home or a large one? Is it feng shui correct or does it have flaws? You are attracted to what out pictures who you are inside. You were attracted to your home exactly because it mirrors who you are, so there are items that you can change with relative ease, but there are others that are buried deep that you aren't ready to budge.
This is where you are, mentally, physically and emotionally at this period of time. It's comforting to you. It fits you like a glove. Other people aren't in that space...they didn't bite on it when it was available to purchase. You did. It fits you. So, what do the imbalances say about you? We're drawn to the places that out picture our imbalances ...which makes it all that much harder to 1) pick a place that's healthy and 2) change one that isn't.
Is your child living in the bedroom in the right back of the house? That puts him/her in control. That's the partnership area. That should be for you and your spouse, but you have your child back there, and you're told you should move him/her out, but....s/he likes it and it's farther away from your room and all the raucous music ...and you don't want a confrontation..s/he's in the cat bird's seat remember...so you let it go.
Perhaps you bought your house and the prior owner painted it all white to get it to sell faster. Made sense. Maybe you had a major loss in your life. In the West we see black for loss and grieving, but in the Chinese view, white is the color of mourning. So, if you lost someone you love, all that white may seem comforting...and you won't subconsciously want to put any color in it til you start to heal. By painting some of the walls as your feng shui consultant suggested, you would start the healing process...but maybe you don't want to yet, on subterranean levels.
What can we do when we don't want to move our child from the back bedroom, or start painting the walls...or paint the front door red for success? We can use EFT. EFT, like Feng Shui, has its roots in the 5 element system and the "meridians" that acupuncturists use to bring balance and health to the body.
You can start tapping on the KC point and say:
"Even tho I have this aversion to making this feng shui cure in my life, I deeply and completely love and accept myself".
Then tap around:
"this aversion to change" at all the points
Then: "I forgive myself for my contribution to it. I forgive others for their contribution to it. This is merely a physical manifestation of a blocked emotional issue and I love myself faaaaaaaaaaaaaaar too much to allow it to continue one second longer."
"Even tho I was told to paint the front door red for prosperity and career advancement, and I'm not sure I want that now, I deeply and completely love and accept myself."
tap: "paint the door red" x3 at each point.
"Why don't I want to paint the door red?" - tap that around too, and if you come up with an answer tap that. If nothing comes up, just know that shifts are in the process of taking place.
I did a workshop on this topic, and had one lady who just was not going to paint the door red, and by the end of the class, she was going to the paint store for fire engine red paint before she went home!
If you have a lot of blue in your home, it comforts your fears. Maybe your feng shui consultant suggested you could put a yellow flower arrangement on the table to balance that out....but that never happened.
Tap the KC point:
"Even tho I don't particularly like yellow, and don't want to buy a yellow flower arrangement, I deeply and profoundly love and accept myself."
"a yellow flower arrangement - yuk' tap x3 at each point
KC: Even tho I know I should put that yellow flower arrangement on the table to bring more health into the house, and I'm not doing it, I deeply and completely love and accept myself."
TH: I forgive myself for my contribution to it; I forgive others for the contribution to it. This is a physical manifestation of a blocked emotional issue and I love mself, faaaaaaar too much to allow it to continue one second longer.
BE: That yellow flower arrangement
SE: I don't like the color yellow that much
UE: I like my house just the way it is
Above the lip: But I got that feng shui consultation because I don't like the way my life is going.
Below lip: This seems so simple, so easy.
CB: Just put a few cures here and there and voila! it changes...
TH: YES! it DOES change!
BE: OMG, I never really thought about that!
SE: Maybe I want a little change, but not a great big change
UE: not all at once.
Above lip: not all at one time.
CB: just a little change...poco poco...little change.
TH: I did put those flower pots by the front door
BE: That's change enough...
SE: it actaually worked!
UE: ...and that was scary
Above lip: if it could change so easily then bigger changes could cause....
Below lip: ...BIGGER CHANGES in my life!
TH: Do I really want that? Just put a flower arrangement here, or get my child out of the back bedroom and change will take place? OMG!
BE: Am I deserving of that?
SE: Do I think I need to punish myself, so I stay in a place that's unbalanced?
UE: Am I worthy of change?
Above lip: Am I worthy of health?
below lip: Am I worthy of tranquility?
CB: Mom (Dad) said I'd never amount to anything
TH: How can I not suffer like I'm suppose to?
BE: I change my mind - x3
SE: I choose again x3
UE: The Dalai Lama says it is our life's purpose to be happy.
Above lip: I didn't know that. Why didn't anyone ever tell me that?
below lip: Not be miserable?
CB: Not be unhappy? How would I act?
TH: I'm suppose to be happy?
BE: Let me change my house to reflect that instead
"I change my mind" x3
"I choose again" x3
"yellow flower arrangement" tap all around
....."I deeply and profoundly love, accept and forgive myself for stonewalling this change"
"yellow flower arrangement" tap all around
Then, let it go, being open and accepting, and watch the shifts and changes take place!
