Matrix Reimprinting - My ECHO's ECHO

Since I discovered it in my own healing sessions with my lovely practitioner Karen Nauman, I've been in love with Matrix Re-imprinting. I find it to be the most effective technique I have tried for myself and my clients. I had this one tapping session that I think I will remember for quite a while...
I was tapping for myself, alone. I then had a memory of some incident that happened in school when I was a kid, about 13 years old. So, I started performing Matrix on this ECHO. As I was tapping with her, it was clear to me that her trauma had many aspects. I started addressing one aspect, and no matter what I did the emotional intensity did not seem to go down. So, like I was working with a client who has a persistent issue, I asked the ECHO "What does this feeling remind you of? When was the first time you felt this?", and to my astonishment the ECHO replied back ..well, not literally as this is all going on in my imagination, but a memory came to my mind of an earlier time from early childhood when I felt that particular feeling and made that belief. So, I went back and did Matrix on the earlier memory with the earlier ECHO. Wait, there's more ..
After I was done with the earlier memory, or the ECHO's ECHO, I went back to the 13 year old ECHO to check how that worked out for her. To my relief, the emotional intensity on that aspect had diminished. But then another aspect came up. She was still not feeling good. So, I asked again, when did she make that belief? And another earlier memory came up. That was one really interesting tapping session! I went back and worked with the third ECHO, and then came back again to the first ECHO to see how she was feeling. I think I went back and forth 2 or 3 times before the initial situation I was tapping on was healed and before that 13 year old ECHO could fine peace.
That was a couple of years ago, but I still remember clearly well. I don't remember now what I was tapping on (which is a good sign that that thing has no emotional charge anymore ;), but I remember the tapping experience. That was one of my glorious Matrix sessions. I was wowed by the possibilities opened by such a deep and effective technique, and by how our sub-conscious minds actually work. I am amazed at the in-depth understanding we got of how our minds and our psyches work that allowed for this to be.
I have to note here that the possibility of doing matrix effectively on one-self is controversial. However, in my personal experience, there were many times when I managed to do this successfully, and other times when I preferred to have someone else, like a tapping buddy or practitioner, do it with me. I always figure out, what the heck? If it doesn't work out this time then the memory will come up again. I don't do this with situations that are too scary though, I like feeling supported when I address those ones.
Wish you peace and healing.

What a fabulous article Marwa! I love how you so skillfully describes each of the the layers/ECHOs in this session and how you went back to find where the belief was created. Thank you for sharing. Karen

This is marvelous as I am battling Lupus and know a fair amount about EFT and Biogenalogy, and some about dealing with ECHOs. Sometimes I just get into a feedback loop and nothing quite resolves. I like this approach a great deal. Thank you for writing this. It will make things easier.
