Goal-Setting - Number 1 Priority

How EFT can help you hone in on your goal

I have observed people who made their goals maybe the 10th priority in their lives and then wondered why they were not achieving them. So I have learned from this experience that the goal we want has to be number 1 priority in our lives, before any other.

So, the first question to ask yourself is:
“Can I realistically make this goal my number 1 priority, above all else?”

If you cannot, then by all means look forward to achieving this goal, but do not beat yourself up if other things get in the way.

If you can, then you are on the way. So, if possible, make a decision to formally assign it as your number 1 priority in your consciousness. For example, if your goal is to make 10% more money in the new year, by making it your number 1 priority, you will find new ways of making money that simply seem to appear from nowhere. If your goal is to have better health, then your health becomes your number 1 priority, and you will find that somehow your life will change to help you be at your optimal best. This is because you will be concentrating on looking for this change  and thinking about opportunities, whilst your mental antenna for success is feeling out for it.

If you have 2 goals, such as setting up two new businesses, although it may be possible to combine the two, choose which one is more important to you right now and make that your number 1 priority.

So pick any specific goal that you may be happy to make your number 1 priority.

And now tap to cement this commitment to yourself. There is no need for SUDS (numbers) with this exercise. Just tap the following 5 times. If when you are tapping, something else comes up for healing, then take time off to tap on it as per normal. And then return to the tapping suggestions below.

Setup on the Karate Chop 3 Times
“I am formally making my number one priority for the new year _________________________________________. I deeply and completely love and accept myself”
Reminder on all the other points
“I am formally making my number one priority for the new year _________________________________________”

Tap the above every day until it feels real for you. In the rare occasion if this exercise brings up many issues for healing, or if it gets overwhelming, I suggest that you get in touch with an EFT Practitioner or an EFT Buddy who can help you through what comes up.
