EFT For Animal And Human Simultaneously

Tapping For Pet Cancer And Owner Fears

By Suzanne Zacharia

Linda started EFT sessions whilst grieving the potential loss of her sweet dog, Butch. Butch was undergoing chemotherapy for cancer. In the second sessions, we tapped about fears of the worst-case scenario. This was that Butch may have T-cell lymphoma, for which the prognosis was not good. In fact, the vet had mentioned putting him to sleep if it was indeed the T-cell variety.

During the session, I used a double-pronged strategy of doing tapping for Linda's feelings as well as for surrogate tapping for Butch. Examples include things like "Even though I'm afraid it could be T-cell lymphoma, I deeply love and accept myself. I allow healing to the situation. I send love and healing to Butch"; and "I love Butch very much, and he loves me very much, I allow love and healing to Butch".

After the next vet visit, Linda wrote back to me and reported feeling better since our session. She said that her grief had not been as intense or intrusive. Butch was "officially diagnosed with T-cell lymphoma, but amazingly, the vet also said that he was effectively in remission! Amazing! And, this is the same vet who had said, a few weeks ago, that the best course of action for a T-cell lymphoma diagnosis would be to 'think about letting him go.' I'm still grappling with the severity of the diagnosis, which is terminal, but, I'm beyond thrilled and grateful to see this turnaround. I have no doubt that the work we've done has been instrumental in that." That was very interesting. Butch seems to be responding to the surrogate tapping.

I replied that dogs live just as long as we do, only they live their lives faster.

I also got the impression of illness around Linda's human and canine family and that this work we are doing is kind of Linda saying "I have had enough of this, from now on, we will be healthy". Maybe not quite like that, but something like that. Linda is very aware of holistic health, including a good holistic diet and good emotional health strategies. So I also pointed out that maybe her awareness of diet, emotions, and the holistic approach was meant to come about to help change her human and canine family's health. Linda seems to be the leader in getting her family to a point of long-term health. I believe that EFT is a very powerful tool in her health toolkit. And I am truly blessed that she graciously gave permission to share her story for the benefit of others.

It is wonderful how EFT works on both human and pet simultaneously. And the fact that we are using EFT alongside conventional chemotherapy means that there are no either-or heart-wrenching decisions to be made. EFT is very flexible, adaptable and robust. If you have a pet in need of healing, try the double approach of tapping for yourself and your pet. I highly recommend it.

Hi Suzzane:

Thanks for your article. My daughter had a beautiful golden retriever and he was diagnosed with lymphoma . People gathered around him and he got lots of support. This dog received the conventional medical treatment and he lived 3 more years. He was such a sweet and gentle dog, I understand how emotional people get when their animals get sick. I am happy that Butch is doing well.
Unfortunately, my daughter's dog Samson died a little while ago.
I appreciate what you did for Linda and her dog.

Hi Pat,

Butch may also cross the Rainbow Bridge but love lives on and on, beyond our temporary body. Love is eternal.
